The CenCal Health Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee meets on a quarterly basis and is responsible for reviewing additions, changes, and deletions to the drug formulary. The P&T Committee continually updates and revises the formulary based on sound clinical evidence, efficacy, safety and pharmacoeconomic considerations. Recommended formulary modifications may be requested by the CenCal Health prescribers, pharmacists, or CenCal Health staff. All suggested formulary modifications should be directed to the CenCal Health Pharmacy Services at (805) 562-1080 or (800) 421-2560, extension 1080. CenCal Health would like to emphasize to all providers that with very few exceptions all FDA approved drugs potentially are a covered benefit, and those drugs not listed in the formulary are covered with an approved Medical Request Form (MRF).
